Wow! What a bar! Best place to go out at night in FL in my opinion.

Great local dive bar. Inexpensive drinks, live music or DJ every night. No cover. They have a kitchen and what I've tried has been good. 4am club. No discernable dress code. Decor to match.Hit or miss on the entertainment. I've seen some very accomplished musicians play there. But don't rely on it.

I have so much fun in this bar, the bands are amazing l, the only thing I will change is the bathroom, all this bars make so much money, not sure why they can't afford to have decent bathrooms!

Love coming here. The atmosphere and music they play is great. Live bands and djs make for an excellent evening. My best friend raves about their inside out pizza. He gets it with his girl everytime we go! Definitly check it out.

there's a short bartender here with serious napoleon complex. short guy with a beard and several tattoos. i've seen him pick fights and escalate conflicts on several occasions. I won't be going back after seeing some serious violence occur and fearing for my safety. restaurant and bar staff should be trained to deescalate situations with drunk people. this guy comes across as extremely drunk himself and has anger issues. won't be going backedit: wow. i've found out the belligerent barkeep is actually the owner. shame on him

This is my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale. The staff is great, super friendly. There's a really wide selection of beers. They just recently open the kitchen and all of the food is very good. Wednesday night there's a reggae band and over the weekends always a live band

In years of living in the area I don't think I've ever had a good experience here. Bouncers are almost always rude or have an attitude for no reason. More then a few times had my drinks thrown out off of the outside bar, despite me sitting there. Bartenders are hit or miss depending on when you go in. Prices are expensive which is expected for the location, however in conjunction with other aspects it has made us take our business elsewhere. Since I can't leave 0 stars here's 1 for the live music. Cheers?

Careful going here the staff get off on attacking people

Original Fat Cats was the only bar to offer live music on the Thursday night we went out. The band was amazing and the vibes were really awesome. The bar tenders are very friendly and it was an overall great experience.

Loved the Philly Cheese, crown was friendly, didn't appreciate the Bartender's very short attitude.

Great beer prices and amazing live music

This might be the best bar downtown. Its between this one and Poorhouse. Both feature great live music from local bands. But Fat Cats is jammin almost every night of the week.

Great local bar live music best day Wednesday reggae music to my taste entertainment everyday till 4 am.

It's a good hole in the wall! Prices aren't bad. Can drink til 4 can't beat it!

I don't go out that much and I don't particularly enjoy the club/bar scene. But there hasn't been one night where I didn't enjoy going to Fat Cats.

We love this place for the casual atmosphere, affordable drinks, great bartenders, but #1 for the music!😃

what a cool spot. By far one of the best in fort Lauderdale. They have great music and awesome decor. I really loved the old school skateboard decks which featured my first skateboard that I got when I was 12 years old. I'm 44 now so that was really cool to see something that was around when I was 12.

Good local bar with food. Nice beer selection.

Great music, good strong drinks. A wee bit of a 'hipster' vibe, between the bar staff & 20 something crowd.... but if you can get past that...it's worth it.

The reggae band was really good and entertaining. That was the best part of the place. They had really cool skateboards and decorating all over. The place was a bit dark, dingy, and a few fights broke out. Lots of drunk people, pda, and dancing. I wasn't too keen on the fighting part however the rest of the night was okay. If it weren't for my friends being there and the band I wouldn't have stayed. I tried out a new place don't think I'll be back unless my friends decide to go again. Check it out for yourself you may have a better experience. It was a bit later when I went and a bit too sober possibly since I was driving. It did have a pizza place a caddy corner to it so I was able to take a break and go eat. That was a plus. Hope you enjoy!

This is a PERFECT local bar! The bartenders aren't stingy w/ the pour & drink prices are lower than several of the other bars on the Ave.I don't know how they get down Sunday thru Thursday but on Friday & Saturday night, they have a Live band contributing to an already AWESOME vibe.If you're downtown, swing thru... just witnessed a bearded waiter go off on a customer in a deeply aggressive way, slapped his phone and attacked him wildly - that was terrible, wouldnt go inside even for that watered-down gallon of beer i cant really drink outside...

If you want friendly service, good looks, &/or a knowledgeable beer recommendation then Frank is your best bet.

Best priced non-water downed drinks on the strip, Wednesday reggae night fever is awsome and Harper the waitress rocks

Long time fan of that spot! Reggae Ska nights on Wed; ladies night was tonight which isn't why I attended. Tasty Vibrations, a local up & coming band of 5 of the crunchiest, craziest, talented, hard working honest, cavemen I know (no shame plug, Aye!) was playing there for the first time since the bands creation. Perfect venue for THE Perfect band. I don't even drink & still had a blast! 5 stars is too low for how out of the theme park this night has been! Stay tasty my freends!

Great small bar within walking distance to the Broward Performing Arts Ctr.. Bartender Marcus was right on with service (lemon drop was perfect) & his wittyness...it was taco night special 2 for $5.00 they were delicious thank you Chuck from the kitchen .. Kudos ..quick drinks & bite to eat was perfect to get us to the show on time..See you soon..
